Author Biography

Abdel Hernández San Juan is a freelance writer, critic and lecturer and among the most innovative and erudite practitioners in the field of art and ethnographic research. He is the author of several books and curator of "Artists in Trance". During his residency in Houston he was visiting profesor of theory in the Department of Anthropology at Rice University. As Lecturer he has been teaching at several universities, art spaces and museums in Caracas (Venezuela) and the United States. He has lived in Caracas, Venezuela, and is now a professor of theory at the ISA, La Habana, Cuba.
